Galatians 5:22 & 23.  In this introduction s Pastor Barry shares the motivation for this series: 1. A concern that belief does not always naturally result in consistent behavior. By our fruit, we will be known.  You can tell the kind of plant it is by the kind of fruit it bears. God says behavior ought to follow our beliefs. 2.What we do is not nearly as important to God as who we are.  God’s primary interest is not in changing our behavior, its in changing us.

22 But the Spirit produces the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Galatians 5:22 & 23 These are characteristics that believers should naturally possess as the result of the Spirit of God being present. In fact the fruit of the Spirit is the evidence that God is at work in your life. This fruit is never out of season. When this fruit is present in our lives it makes us extremely attractive to other Christians and unbelievers alike. Therefore these nine traits are the key to healthy relationships
