Daniel 1:8a  As Christian parents, we can’t totally isolate our children from the culture, but we can prepare them so they can be a “Daniel” in their world. Daniel and his friends were spiritually grounded. The reason these teenage boys, even in Babylon’s wicked, immoral, sexual culture, could remain pure is that they had parents who introduced them to God, and taught them what is true and what is false. Because of that, they had a tremendous impact upon Babylon and three subsequent kingdoms that rose to power. The world’s game plan and God’s game plan, both involve our children. As believers, He wants to shoot us, like a projectile, through this culture in a way that penetrates and transforms it.

Living a God Pleasing Life Sermon Series

What makes God happy?  The Bible says that, “God rewards those who diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6. What does it mean to “diligently seek Him” and are there ways that we can do that, that are more effective than others? What many Christians sadly misunderstand is that God isn’t into religious activities or performance-based Christianity. O.K., so what then does God really want from us? In this sermon series Pastor Barry will answer that question by looking at Biblical Characters whose lives were pleasing to God.
