James 1:19-25. How do you build your life on the solid foundation of the Bible? The answer is to look at the way God created you. God gave you five senses – hear, smell, see, taste, and touch. Everything you know in life comes through one of those five senses. That’s how you encounter life and that’s how God intends for you encounter the Bible. In the first installment of this series Pastor Barry presented the first of those five things – hearing God’s Word with our ears. In this sermon he shares insight into how we can effectively receive God’s word by reading it with our eyes & studying it with our hands and mouth. The Bible says if you will do the five things are being presented in the first 3 sermons in this series you will be blessed. And if you are blessed your church will be blessed.

NEW SERMON SERIES BEGINNING FEBRUARY 16TH

“…everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock” Matthew 7:24. As we celebrate the 90th anniversary of our Church we also look to the future. Our desire is to be effective, relevant and victorious. A victorious Church is the byproduct of its members living victorious lives. Building a strong healthy Church doesn’t just happen. Neither does spiritual maturity in the life of a Christian. Every well-built house must first have carefully designed blueprints, a strong foundation, and a competent builder. Even so, a strong Church can only be the product of the blueprint of God’s Word, the foundation of Jesus Christ, and the daily guiding hand of the Holy Spirit. In this sermon series, Building Upon the Firm Foundation of God’s Word, Pastor Barry will seek to reignite and strengthen your passion for God’s Word by sharing in very practical ways what it means to be “doers of the Word and not just “hearers” only.
