John 20:26-29. Easter is when we celebrate history’s brightest moment. The tomb is empty, Jesus is alive, but throughout history there have been a variety of attempts by skeptics to explain away the resurrection. Jesus actually made ten different appearances after His resurrection. In one of them He was seen by over five hundred people. These appearances convinced these witnesses that Jesus was indeed very much alive. The resurrection accomplishes three things…it validated Jesus, it defeated death, and it restores hope.
We inherently feel the call to live for something bigger than ourselves, to become people who impact the world in a positive way. But many of us lack the faith to respond to that call. God is still using ordinary people to do extraordinary things for Him! In this sermon series drawing on the lives and faith experiences of ordinary people, Pastor Barry will encourage, inspire, and help us examine our lives and take practical, real-world steps to deepen our own faith and trust in God.
