Guest Speaker: Emory Gaskins, Chaplain Castle Hospital.  “The Power of Identity”

We are known by many varied factors; some people are known primarily by their work, others by their family or accomplishments, and still others by their sin.  It is popular today to be get our identity from our politics.  How we identify ourselves – see ourselves – makes a difference in how we approach life.  Just ask the people of God who said they could not enter the Promised Land because “we seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”  The Apostle Paul, in the longest sentence in the Bible (Eph 1:3-14), gives some clear guidelines in how we should see ourselves.
