Philippians 1:1-11. Paul talks a lot about relationships. If you want to be happy that’s important because it is impossible to be happy while your relationships are unhappy. The first eleven verses of Philippians are about healthy relationships. Paul makes four statements that are descriptive of his relationship with the people of Philippi. They are keys that lead to healthier, more joy-full relationships. They are easy to explain, and simple to understand, but they are hard to do. Thankfully Paul doesn’t just tell us about them, he models them for us.nvinced of the power of the Holy Spirit, so excited about the difference a relationship with Jesus makes in a person’s life… He witnessed it with his own eyes in this little church in Philippi where the gospel defied race, defied socio-economic boundaries, defied aptitude and reason. What God did in Philippi will encourage us to rest in the knowledge that no one is beyond the reach of God’s love and His power to rescue and save.
