FOOD, FELLOWSHIP

033[1] (2)Pau Hana Picnics have become a summer-time tradition for our Church family.  After a busy week it’s time to TGIF – thank God it’s Friday. Kick-off the weekend with a quiet, relaxing evening of food & fellowship. Several Fridays during the summer you can find folks from First Baptist gathering at Queen’s Beach to enjoy the amazing weather and a beautiful sunset in Waikiki.  We’ve been doing this now for, oh, about seven or eight summers except for 2020 and 2021 due to Covid.  We’ve got our own little special place, just look for the FBC banner or Pastor Barry’s bald head. Both are fairly easy to spot.  The picnic is potluck style. We supply the grill and will have  it all fired up and ready by 6:00. In order to insure a balanced meal contact Dianne O’Steen (808-780-0409) to make a reservation and to let her know what you will be bringing, or see if she has any suggestions on what to bring.  Make sure she has your contact info just in case we have to move to a different location or cancel because of bad weather or adverse conditions.

Of course the beach is handy for those who may want to swim or just cool off and there’s plenty of space for tossing a frisbee or Corn Hole and the Barefoot Café  nearby has live music. We usually have three picnic tables under the trellis, but you may want to bring a lawn chair or blanket.   Check out our Pau Hana Picnics Photo Gallery.  Tentative Dates for this summer are:

June 9th & 16th;  July 28th; and August 11th
