“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” Acts 16:31. Many Christians lack the joy and assurance of their salvation simply because they will not take God at His word.  They do not accept what He says at face value but rely more upon their personal feelings than the scriptural declaration, “Thus saith the Lord.”  If you have placed your trust in the Lord Jesus, stop worrying about your salvation.  God has certainly done His part. So, believe his Word, and claim as your very own the new life that has been given you through faith in Christ. Believe that you are indeed a child of God and that you have been saved, whether you feel like it or not. The blood of Christ makes us safe; the Word of God makes us sure.
