“Come unto Me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28. Since man was made to have fellowship with God, he can never find true serenity by any earthly means.  Until his broken relationship with the Lord is restored, he remains restless and unfulfilled.  Christ Jesus therefore came into the world to seek and to save lost mankind.  All who are burdened by sin may freely receive the forgiveness He purchased for them on the cross.  What a mistake we make then, if we continually labor, seeking to earn God’s saving favor through our own ineffective efforts.  Man’s soul will find no rest until it rests in God.
