Piper sharing with FBCH about one of her previous Mexico mission trips

For the past six years Piper Axtell has gone on a weeklong mission trip to Ensenada, Mexico sponsored by Azusa Pacific University.  In the past, she has served as a translator for the group of about 15-20 people and is currently serve as one on their July 2016 trip.  The group based in California has been going to the same ministry called Leche Y Miel (Milk and Honey) for over 15 years.  Throughout the year, the family that runs this ministry and their family drives hours from their home each week in Mexico and gives food, toys, clothes and the Word of God to people in different areas in Mexico.  During this mission trip the group will do construction work on their home, which doubles as their ministry site, and conduct a Vacation Bible School for the neighborhood children.  Piper’s favorite memory from these trips happened  when she was honored to lead the Prayer of Salvation in Spanish to a group of young children at the end of the week.  Piper says, “I am looking forward to see how God is going to work in the lives of the people we encounter there and in the lives of my group and I.  Praise the Lord!”
