“Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are His delight.” Proverbs 12:22. The saying, Honesty is the best policy is quickly becoming obsolete. Two surveys taken may indicate that a growing number of people are not living by this policy. One poll found that only 56% of Americans teach honesty to their children.  Another poll found that 65% of high school students would cheat on an important exam.  Some of us who live by God’s standard may need to recommit ourselves to honesty.  If we say that God is the ruler of our life, we must seriously consider the consequences of doing anything that He considers an abomination.  If you always tell the truth, you’ll never be trapped by a lie.
