“O Death, where is your sting?  O Hades, where is your victory?”  I Corinthians 15:55. The New Testament proclaims that for the believer in Christ, death has been destroyed.  This good news is for everyone who will receive it – just as the angel told the shepherds when Jesus was born, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.  For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:10-11).  The birth of Jesus was the beginning of the end for death and that’s something worth celebrating!
