“How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?”  Psalm 13:1.   Prolonged affliction is discouraging. We want a fast solution, a quick fix.  But some things can’t be fixed.  They can only be endured.  But we can tell our problems to God.  We have a heavenly Father who wants us to engage with Him in our struggles.  He understands His children as no one else can.  Sufferings may persist, but David could sing during his trials, and we can too.  The height of spiritual life is not living an unending mountain top experience but living in the valley with absolute trust in the love of God.  Even in our troubles, God’s love can be trusted.
