“Trust in the Lord, and do good…rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.” Psalm 37:3,7. The apostle Peter chose to trust Jesus and step out of the boat, and for a few moments he must have known the joy of walking on water with complete security. But when he took his eyes off the Lord, he lost that security and began to sink. It follows that if we want to experience God’s enablement, we must choose to trust Him and then actively continue that trust. Remember, trust is a choice and a continuing activity of believing and obeying God. God tests our faith so that we may trust His faithfulness.
