Charge to the Parents 

The Dedication Vows:   L = Leader, P = Parents 

L: Do you believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son, & the enabling presence and power of the Holy Spirit?

P: WE DO

L:Do you believe in the ministries of the Church, in her means of grace, in the blessing of worship & fellowship, and in the power of the Word of God both preached and taught?

P: WE DO

L: Do you know the blessing received from Christian example, from the prayers of the people of God, from the undergirding help that comes from observing holy living, and from the faith seen in others who have exhibited a victorious faith?

P:  WE HAVE SEEN SUCH FAITH

L: Do you want these blessings in your life and in the life of your son?

P: WE DO

L: Do you understand that all religious commitment should be entered into voluntarily?  Do you understand we postpone the holy ordinance of baptism until such time that Milo can make his own confession of faith?  

P: WE DO

L: Do you covenant that you will teach Milo to pray, that you will share with him the great stories and truths of the Bible, and that you will raise your son in the reverence and admonition of the Lord?
