“Whatever you shall ask the Father in My name, He will give it to you.” John 16:23. Through Christ even the weakest believer has immediate access into the presence of God when he prays. No letters are needed requesting an appointment; no high-ranking official to intercede; no clergyman to serve as a mediator. By coming to the Savior, we are put in touch with the Father Himself. If you and I expect to come to God and have our prayers answered, we must have the right connection. Christ alone gives us direct access to the Father, and in His name, we should make all our petitions.
