“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21. How we respond to a material loss is a good test of where our treasure really is. If we are driven to our knees in prayer and we let go of our loss, we can be certain that our treasure is in a secure place. If, however, we get so upset that we can’t go on, or we become bitter and resentful, or we lash out at others, we have probably gotten our heart set on the wrong treasure. Where is your treasure? The contented person is never poor.
