“He delivers and rescues, and He …has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.”  Daniel 6:27. That great man of faith, Daniel, with his hands behind his back and those wild beasts circling him, was looking up and answering the king who was anxious to know if God had protected him from physical harm.  There are lions all about me and you too, such as old habits and sins.  But the One who shut the lion’s mouths for Daniel can also shut them for us. While I am weak and helpless, my God is strong and able. He has saved me, and He is also able to deliver me from the wild beasts in my life.  The God who delivered Daniel can also do the same for any of His children who put their trust in Him. Think less of the power of evil over you and more about the power of Christ in you.
