“…be an example of the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” I Timothy 4:12. The world judges Christians by their words and actions, not by their pious wishes or good intentions. Paul therefore admonished Timothy and every believer to set a good example in all they say and do. He knew that others would be influenced by our pattern of conduct. You may be the only Christian in the office or store where you work each day. Or perhaps you are a housewife or student who must stand alone as a believer in your home or classroom. Never think that what you say or do is not important. Put before the world a clear testimony by living according to God’s will and His Word. The Savior will be pleased, and men will be influenced by your shining example.
