“I will endeavor that you may be able, after my decease, to have these things always in remembrance.” II Peter 1:15. In the spiritual realm, we can leave an inheritance of life and light that will benefit others after our death.  The apostle Paul is a case in point. He was intent on making sure that his insight into God’s truth was passed on to others after he had left this earth.  All of us in one way or another can leave behind a testimony of the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord.   Like Paul, we can write letters of spiritual encouragement, keep a journal of God’s provisions, disciple younger Christians, and provide an overall example of godliness that will influence succeeding generations. Live each day for the Lord.  Then, after you’re gone, others will profit spiritually from your foresight and generosity.
