“Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” John 7:24. A common sin among believers is that of criticizing the motives and actions of others before all the facts are known.  This type of judging often results in harsh and erroneous conclusions. The Pharisees, by failing to appreciate Jesus’ good deed in healing a man on the Sabbath, made a similar mistake. They charged that His miraculous power had come from the devil. Remember, it’s a sin to misjudge anyone – especially since we can’t read the heart but can only go by outward appearances.
