“…and when He saw him He had compassion on him.” Luke 10:33 God does not save us because of any goodness in ourselves, but because of His matchless grace.  Welcoming us into His redeemed family, He affectionately calls us “dear children.”  We freely receive this high standing through the merits of the Savior, who loved us “while we were yet sinners.”  The Lord now expects us to reflect this new relationship with Him in our daily lives. One of the best was we can do this is to show His compassion to those who are especially depraved and unlovely.   As one who has been saved by God’s grace, are you showing His compassion to the unlovely? Don’t expect to lead to Christ lost souls you do not love!
