“The greatest among you will be your servant.” Matthew 23:11. One of the characteristics of a truly “big person” is a willingness to assume a role of service that some people would consider beneath his dignity. When someone needs your assistance, never think of yourself as being “too big” to come to his rescue. Don’t turn down a request for help simply because you think such service is too menial for you. If you must say no, make sure it’s for a good reason. Whenever you see a genuine need and you’re there, in all probability you’re just the right size for the job. If you are too big to do little things, you are too little to be trusted with big things.
