“…faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” James 2:17. The genuineness of our faith is Christ is proven by our actions.  The apostle Paul spoke of “faith working through love” (Galatians 5:6).  We indicate what we believe not only by what we say but also by what we do.  To profess faith in Christ as Savior and Lord but ignore the needs of fellow believers is inconsistent.  James said that true faith translates into compassion in action.
