1Yr-About-Ps-Barry-Pastor“Let the peace of God rule in your hearts,… and be thankful.” Colossians 3:15. No one can have a satisfying quality of life without learning self-control.  We are not only to repress sinful anger, bad language, evil desires, covetousness, and sexual impurity, but also, by the Holy Spirit’s power, to displace these sins with positive virtues.  After telling us to put on tender mercies, kindness, humbleness, meekness, longsuffering, and love, Paul added, “and be thankful.”  Counting our blessings will give us a grateful heart by directing our thoughts to God, the source of all good. The right attitude toward life begins with gratitude toward God.
