11/1 The Life that Excels. Psalm 36. This psalm contrasts human wickedness at its worst and divine goodness at its best – what people claim will make you happy and what God says will make you happy. Innumerable voices are clamoring to convey their message of what it takes to excel in life, but in this Psalm Pastor Barry shares three things the Psalmist says are necessary to understand… the futility of sin, the fullness of salvation, and the faithfulness of the Savior. This Psalm is a reminder that we can and must trust God. Don’t allow a place for evil in your life. God will not short-change you. You will be satisfied with prosperity, and He will allow you to drink from the rivers of pleasure.

11/8 Delivered from Despair. Psalm 42 & 43. The old song “Am I Blue?” could easily have been written by the Psalmist. In Psalms 42 and 43 (which originally may have been one psalm) the Psalmist is in the pits. You name it. . . he was disappointed, discouraged, depressed down, stressed out and feeling, “mighty low.” This psalm lays before us two aspects for every believer’s life. On the one hand we are called to lice in eternity with our minds and hearts set on God, on the other, we are also commanded to live in time with our minds and bodies under pressures that cannot be ignored. How can we do both? That’s the question Pastor Barry will answer in this sermon.

11/22 Gratitude is a Great Attitude. Psalm 116. Rebellion and arrogance come from an ungrateful spirit. Gratitude must be cultivated in our lives if we are to live healthy happy lives. It is the foundation on which to build a wholesome life.
