Often it is costly to be a follower of Christ. In this sermon Pastor Barry will challenge you to follow Christ with total commitment regardless of what we may have to give up or sacrifice.

6/21 Jesus Christ AND Superstars. 1 Cor. 27. we love our superstars. Physical attractiveness, intelligence, athletic ability, strength, and wealth are all at top of our society’s value system. This leaves most feeling inferior, inadequate, unappreciated and unimportant, The church does not exist in a vacuum as a result these values can and often do penetrate the church. The Apostle Paul had a dramatic put down for our worship of Superstars. We are all viable, valuable parts of the body of Christ. In our churches today the need is not for Superstars but rather the weak, the lowly, and the humble who would say here am I Lord, use me.
