3/8 Heaven: Can I Know for Sure I’m Going? Matthew 7:13-14.

Have you ever wondered what it’s going to be like after you die? Life has many choices, and God has given us a great deal of freedom in making most of them, but when it comes to where we spend eternity there are only two options. All roads do not lead to heaven. Are you going to heaven? In this sermon Pastor Barry will share how you can know for sure.

3/15 The Positive Power of Conviction. I Kings 19:9-12. At the height of success and triumph Elijah was afraid and ran for his life. The enemy had struck his blow. The story of Elijah is, among other things, our clarion call to be alert to the fact that some of our greatest battles as Christians come on the heels of some of our greatest successes when we would least expect it. How does God deal with one of his servants who, quite frankly is being a crybaby? In this sermon Pastor Barry shares what God does with one of his faithful servants who succumbs to the attack of the enemy? You may be surprised by some of the ways God responds, in the end we can trust God to restore us to his path even when we’re running from Him.

3/22 When You’re Up a Tree. Luke 19: 1-9. Zacchaeus hoped to see Jesus as he passed through Jericho. But Zacchaeus had a couple things working against him; he was short, and he wasn’t very well liked. The single greatest thing that can happen to anybody is when they cross paths with Jesus. Sometimes we forget that. When Jesus crossed paths with people, they were never the same, positively as in the case of Zach, or negatively as in the case of the rich young ruler. In this sermon Pastor Barry shares the evidence that Zacchaeus was changed positively.

3/29 A Visit from The Thief on the Cross. Luke 23:32&33; 39-43. To one of the criminals hanging next to Jesus on the cross Jesus said, “Today you will be with me in paradise.” What if that thief were to visit us today? What would he say? How did he view things from his perspective? And what might he think about how we treat Jesus today? (Palm Sunday)

4/5 Signs of Jesus’ Soon Return: The King is Coming. Revelation 19: 11-21. Centuries ago, the disciples asked Jesus to tell them the signs of His coming and when it would be. If the disciples wondered about these things in the first century, then we surely have reason to wonder in the twenty-first century. As we look at the instability in our world, today we can’t help but ask, “Are we living in the end-times? ” In this series of periodic sermons Pastor Barry has been unraveling some of the mystery surrounding end-time events as he has examined what the Bible has to say about life in the last days. In this last installment, The King Is Coming, Pastor Barry affirms Jesus is coming to earth again as King of Kings. Next to the subject of faith, the subject of the Second Coming is the most dominant subject in the New Testament. For every time the first coming of Christ is mentioned in the Bible, the Second Coming is mentioned 8 times. The Lord Himself refers to His return 21 times. The signs that tell us the second coming of the Lord is drawing near should motivate us to live in readiness. (Easter)
