5/3 The Heart of Worship: Pleasing God. Isaiah I : 11-15. To Martha, worried and fussing over many pressing things, our Lord said, “Only a few things are necessary, really only one.” Luke 10:41. Worship is that one essential thing. Many of us are like Martha, distracted and too busy to sit at the Savior’s feet. We often evaluate worship based on how we felt about it, but how does God feel about it? We often have the wrong focus… ourselves. We should receive benefits and be blessed when we worship but the greatest benefit will come when we seek to behold the beauty of the Lord. In Isaiah 6:1-8 we find an example of how to do that. Pastor Barry shares the six characteristics of worship found there.
