Acts 10 39-43. The Christmas tree has become a significant part of celebrating Christmas. It gets a lot of attention. The cross that Jesus died on is referred to as a tree and it too is part of the Christmas story. When so much attention is paid to trees that are covered with tinsel, ornaments and colored lights, the old rugged unattractive tree that we call the cross might well be called the forgotten tree of Christmas. In this sermon Pastor Barry reminds us that the main point of the Christmas story is that the baby grew up. Is our Christmas only a story about a baby or is it about the person into whom the baby grew, who, upon  a tree, redeemed the world from its separation with God and who calls us into partnership with His great and mighty purposes?
