Matthew 11:28-30. Jesus was no ordinary teacher, no ordinary king and no ordinary man. Jesus was both God and man—one hundred percent divine and one hundred percent human. The word “amazed” appears twenty-seven times to describe people’s response to Jesus. They were amazed at His miracles. They were amazed at the way He handled criticism. They were amazed at how he cared for outcasts. In this sermon Pastor Barry focuses on one of Jesus’ miracles. It’s a miracle that was recorded in all four Gospels…The Feeding of the Five Thousand.
We inherently feel the call to live for something bigger than ourselves, to become people who impact the world in a positive way. But many of us lack the faith to respond to that call. God is still using ordinary people to do extraordinary things for Him! In this sermon series drawing on the lives and faith experiences of ordinary people, Pastor Barry will encourage, inspire, and help us examine our lives and take practical, real-world steps to deepen our own faith and trust in God.
