“I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions.” Isaiah 43:25. Just as an Old Testament writer would write something on a papyrus scroll and then get rid of it forever by blotting it out, so God wipes our sin from His record. Consider David’s use of the words “blot out” in Psalm 51:9. He had fallen into the sins of sexual immorality and murder, yet he knew he could come to God for forgiveness. How about you? Are there sins that God has forgiven you of? If God has blotted out your sins, isn’t it time for you to delete them too. When God deletes a sin don’t save it in your memory.
