Most of us have felt the longing to be more influential for Christ.  We would like to be flaming witnesses for our Lord like the apostles on the day of Pentecost.  We can experience a joyous sense of Christ’s presence and power just as the disciples did that day. It is a matter of allowing the Holy Spirit to take control of our lives.  So let’s walk with the Lord in humble dependence, continual communion, and glad obedience.  This is the only way to have power with God and power with men.  The human spirit fails unless the Holy Spirit fills.
